Christian Maurin

Title: Senior Advisor

As an Operating and Investment Advisor, Christian Maurin is responsible for developing certain investment strategies, performing due diligence, assisting in deal sourcing, and providing critical advice on operational restructuring across our portfolio. He is a seasoned and highly accomplished Senior Executive with over 30 years of experience leading both large public and private companies.

Christian is currently a member of the Board and Chairman of the audit committee of Sonepar (a multi-billion dollar private company), member of the Board and Chairman of the audit committee of Paypal Europe (Ebay group, ~$16B revenue), member of the Board and strategic committee of Shopvolution, and member of investment committee for various alternative investment fund vehicles. He is also a member of Association Le Siécle, l’Automobile Club and Officier de I’Ordre National du Mérite.

Christian was most recently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Nalco Company, the largest industrial water treatment company in the world. Prior to that, he was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Degrémont, held progressive senior executive leadership roles at Suez (a Fortune 100 global leader in infrastructure, energy and environmental service industry), was the Chairman of the Board of Management of Bank Indosuez, an international investment bank, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Banque Sofinco, was the Managing Director of Datar, etc. He also held various management positions with the French Ministry of Finance and served in the French military as a paratroop platoon leader.

Christian is an alumni of the prestigious ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration) holds an Undergraduate degree in Political Science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Paris.
